Michelle Graham

Position:
Practice Owner

Commenced:
1992

Biography:
Michelle’s journey in the veterinary industry started back in 1992 at just 19 years of age, where after completing year 12, she first pursued a career in veterinary nursing. This was inevitable after surrounding herself with animals throughout her childhood. The human/animal bond is something Michelle cherishes dearly, still to this day. After stepping away from the veterinary industry for several years to expand her skills and knowledge in the corporate and radio sectors, Michelle found herself returning to the veterinary industry again in 2002, where she first joined Karingal Veterinary Hospital.

In 2006, Michelle took a break from the industry again, this time to focus on raising her 3 children. In 2011, Michelle once again returned to veterinary nursing with Karingal Veterinary Hospital (and our silo practice, Aspendale Gardens Veterinary Hospital). Michelle has created many special relationships with patients and their owners over the years as a senior consulting nurse, until becoming a part owner of the hospital with her husband Rob in 2021. Michelle’s primary focus as an owner is providing support to our large team, and ensuring our clients and pets alike, receive outstanding care. This is evident in her pursuit of continued professional development in the areas of coaching and leadership. Michelle is immensely proud of the team at Karingal Veterinary Hospital and thoroughly enjoys spending time at work with her colleagues.

Outside of work, Michelle is happiest when spending quality time with her family, including husband Rob, her 3 children (who are all growing up way too quickly) and their fur-children, “Edwina the hound” and “Mike the cat”. Her weekends (and weeknights) are often spent supporting their children’s sporting pursuits. She also enjoys playing golf, exploring new courses with Rob when they travel, as well as catching up with friends.

Been taking our fur babies to the team at Karingal for 6 years now and always receive the best treatment. From the reception team, the vet nurses and vets, we always felt well cared for. They’ve always listened to our concerns thoroughly and never made us feel stupid when explaining things.I always appreciate their follow up calls to double check our pet has been feeling better and that there’s no more issues, I feel like they do genuinely care for my animals :)Also greatly appreciate the gap only claims for pet insurance, saves a lot of time and money!

We took both our greyhounds here after trying a few vets in the area and they are by far the best. So knowledgeable about the breed and so understanding and patient with their anxiety about going into the consulting rooms. It’s so nice to see your pets being taken such good care of, getting lots of pats and reassurance. Thank you so much!

I’ve seen multiple vets and nurses at this clinic since having my first puppy, and every single person has been fantastic. They really pay attention to your concerns and are really thorough with their examinations. I appreciate that they never rush me and take their time to explain things to me. As a first time puppy owner, it’s always great to have things explained in such detail. They are all so friendly and accommodating and I would have absolutely no trouble recommending this clinic to my friends or family.
